MEW 65 - Kuwait

Back

In April 2017, ISIA and GGD (Grundfos Gulf Distributtion) closed a contract with Doosan to supply a first complete Chlorine Dioxide solution to MEW (Ministry of Electricity and Water) in Kuwait. Kuwait is one of the main growing market in the area, especially for water utility: in fact MEW, the authority responsible for production and distribution for potable water, has decided to introduce Chlorine Dioxide to disinfect potable water, solving the problem related to formation of Bromate. In next future all the disinfection systems will be switched from actual Chlorine Gas to Chlorine Dioxide and this represent a huge opportunity. The scope of the supply include no.3 redundant generators pre-mounted and pre-installed in a container, that include also injection skid with no.3 CRT pumps and control room. In addition, ISIA will supply the storage area, with 20m3 vertical tanks and unloading pumps for each of the two reagents.
